I’m quitting social media.
Well, ALMOST.
Over the past three years, I’ve tracked data from every social media account I have. Although I’ve had organic growth, the numbers don’t lie — as algorithms changed, impressions narrowed. The majority of the accounts are, unfortunately, dead branches getting in the way of the potential beauty of the garden.

At the same time, I’m at a point where being faithful to my calling is my biggest priority. Doing that requires that I be realistic, niche hard, and stop diffusing my energy. That means pruning to the accounts that matter most to the niche — LinkedIn, where I can target my ghostwriting to the counselors, pastors, and other professionals who specialize in trauma, and Substack, where I can use long-form content to offer my experience and presence to the survivors who need it.
The final piece of the puzzle is purely financial. Getting rid of the accounts that don’t serve this new focus translates to significant reduction in overhead, as I can drop many of the services I have to free tiers or get rid of them completely. That’s money I can reinvest back into my podcast or book development.
I’ve enjoyed learning the nuances of all the different platforms, and I have no intentions of abandoning the relationships I’ve built on each of them. But I’m ready to go all in where God has asked me to go. Although I will not delete the accounts I have, I plan to stop posting to the ones that are not fruitful on Friday, June 26, 2026.
I hope that if you aren’t already following me on Substack or LinkedIn, you’ll do so now so we can stay connected. Those platforms will continue to funnel to my trio of websites — takingdictation.com (for ghostwriting clients), faithfulontheclock.com (for professionals wanting work-faith alignment), and wandathibodeaux.com (my author site). My fourth site, unstealingjoy.com (for trauma survivors), will launch in the late fall or early winter.
